@rekorderlig & @companymagazine invite you to London’s Midsummer Party! @nailgirlslondon

So last night Snoochie Boochies hit the ever so stylish world of Rekorderlig Cider and Company Magazine at the Midsummer House in Victoria Park. Hidden in the heart of this East London greenery is another world where you get ample chances to sample the various Rekorderlig Ciders (our recommendations are the Premium Passion Fruit and Strawberry Lime flavours) and bask in the summer nights with (on this occasion) members of Made in Chelsea and The Only Way is Essex! IMG_3263

Whilst that  might not be everyone’s cup of tea, there was plenty else to keep you occupied, including a Swedish BBQ stall with Swedish Hot Dogs and taster treat delights…plenty of Company Magazine copies to sit and read whilst its house DJ played soulful groove tunes…and if that wasn’t enough,  there was also a fabulous nail bar from Nail Girls London, a brilliant franchise set up four years ago from innovative founder Lynda Louise who’s flagship nail bar is based in the very cool Islington. Showcasing the “in” Swedish “V” style of polishing, we just had to give it a whirl and are pleased to report that our nails have never looked so good!IMG_3267

Why is this event taking place?

IMG_3272Last year Rekorderlig Cider launched the Winter Forest pop-up bar situated in the heart of East London’s Brick Lane.  It transformed the Truman Brewery into a magical Scandinavian hideaway, serving authentic Swedish food and cocktails, made from using different flavours of Rekorderlig. The Forest Bar ran for two weeks, injecting London with some truly Scandinavian culture.

Since the Forest Bar was such a success, Rekorderlig decided to bring the essence of Swedish summertime to England! Midsummer (introduction of the summer) is a huge celebration in Sweden, marking the start of long, lush sunny days and very little darkness (what a dream!). And now the long awaited pop-up Midsummer Swedish House event is taking place from June 21st – 5th July in Victoria Park.

It sounds amazing GET ME THERE!! 

So is this event exclusive to reality series cast members and super blogs 🙂  like ourselves? No, absolutely not! You too can get involved and spend your summer evenings doing something very very cool and chilled. The Sundowners take to the BBC Introducing stage at #Glastonbury #music #newartist

One of the great things about Glasto is that you get the chance to experience some brand spanking new talent! This year is no exception. Taking to the BBC Introducing stage at 2:15pm on Friday 28th June (Yes this Friday!) will be Sundowners. So make sure you catch them rocking the stage. If you like what you hear, the band will also be releasing their new single via Skeleton Key Records on the 29th July.

Who are the Sundowners?

The hotly tipped hotly tipped Wirral five-piece have been cutting their teeth, gigging solidly throughout the UK over the last 18 months. Their infectious blend of rock & roll and psychedelic folk-rock has gone down a storm picking up rave reviews – leading to a coveted spot at Glastonbury and plaudits coming in from all quarters. Their single ‘Don’t Come Knocking’ comes backed with the B side ‘Shifting Sands’ both tracks were recorded at Parr Street Studios, Liverpool with James Skelly & Ian Skelly behind the controls.

Bringing even more sunshine over from the United Arab Emirates, Jumeirah Restaurant Week is going global following its huge success last year.

Now we can enjoy a taste of paradise between the 23rd May and 1st June. This year will see participation from some of Europe’s most popular restaurants and hotels including The Rib Room Bar & Restaurant at Jumeirah Carlton Tower London, Max on One at Jumeirah Frankfurt, Agatha Restaurant at Pera Palace Hotel Jumeirah in Istanbul and Cap Roig at Jumeirah Port Soller, Mallorca. And if you happen to be on holiday further afield during the restaurant week – diners can also frequent Junsui at Burj Al Arab, Voi at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray, Pierchic at Madinat Jumeirah, The Ivy at Jumeirah Emirates Towers, La Parrilla at Jumeirah Beach Hotel, The Rib Room in Jumeirah Emirates Towers, Blue Flame at Jumeirah Creekside Hotel and Tori No in Jumeirah at Etihad Towers in the United Arab Emirates. As well as a selection of restaurants in Asia such as Grill Room at Jumeirah Himalayas Shanghai, Fenesse at Jumeirah Vittaveli and Johara at Jumeirah Dhevanafushi in the Maldives!
